Conditions: Fresh morning air and a gorgeous blue sky brought a lot of excitement among competitors! Few pilots launched early while the rest decided to wait after the wind started picking up with a marked south component. The wind dropped noticeably after 2:00 PM and the race went on nicely for the next three hours.

Outstanding flights: Many similar flights where done during the day, with most pilots choosing the classic route heading northwest. Mark Gibbins pushed a few meters further than the rest and won the day on his DHV 1/2 Firebird Grid, scoring 52.6 points! With a similar approach, France's Olive Montel on his serial Ozone Mantra M2 scored 51.9 while UK's Nick Roberts got 51.8 points.
